Glad you're well mate, keep safe. These remind me of an offensive grenade more than a defensive one, except for the scored inner liner it would pass for an offensive grenade with ease.
the day where sig actually make good stuff
Hi mate, are you in the military? How do you get these things to test? Cheers
you said you'd take the AK12 over the 74 but is that purely because of optic capability? for example if you had an AK74 with a side mount picatinny rail and Zenitco Pic handguards would you still use an AK12 instead?
If I get 100/200 series AK, that would be the best, so yes it's all about getting optic on easily
doesn't seem to have many shrapnels
Structure of actual warhead part seems similar to German WWII Stielhandgranate, but Soviet version of fragmentation seems more budget option.
Dunno. I suppose, grenade doesn't have any "head". It has "body" instead.
@@ZZizitt Thanks for your clarification on proper vocabulary.
great video buddy, greetings from SvK
It's fascinating how little frag was blown out of the frag sleeves. I'd have expected every little cut out to explode into shrapnel. But looks as if very little of it actually worked as intended. The one sleeve was still entirely whole! Fascinating. Also, love and support for all Ukrainian warriors, from USA.
Why is it you have to purchase freakin' grenades ? All the money and munitions that has supposedly been sent your way you guys should be swimming in munitions over there ! War is disgusting in more ways than one can imagine. You shouldn't have to worry about buying ammo and ordinance. That's ridiculous ! I can see spending your own money on nice kit, but grenades are what we would consider here in the US an expendable item, if they expect you to fight, they can at least make sure you aren't having to worry about the small $h1t !
Looks like a can of corned beef with a fuse!
It’s a tin can with explosives in it
Серйозне питання: чому в Україні не використовується ветеран РПГ2?
Good at using other people's weapon's huh khokhol?
The video of the old russian grandma getting caught fighting at the front got you shills messed up today eh?
Gotta work on being able to move 5-7 meters away as quickly as possible 😅 damn scary lil thing.
What happened to setting the head space and timing? Don't tell me, it is a preset , 1/4 turn on the barrel when you put the barrel in.
I always thought that the muzzle loading, being faster and not needing to eject a case, was a pretty smart idea. After seeing that picture...not so much.
Let's go
Is Soviet the Russia grenade through you.
“Very Nice Boom!”😂
They are no better than the ones we use as civilian MedEvac crews and they are 15 years old 😂
Hey, nice video and greetings from Germany. I always wondered how deep small shrapnel would penetrate, like e.g. from the German DM51, 6500 x 2 mm BBs.
Good question! Those DM51's in a confined space would be DEADLY!
I support Russia protecting Eastern Ukraine from Joe Biden's money laundering operation in conjunction with the gay comedian Zelensky.
Thanks Val, good job and great analyses ! I Hope see you in the future for explose big toys with you ! Do you propose stages with you and team?
Looks like it works very well, but the look of the early 50s ones freak me out, the later models look very nice
HK 416 design team member moves to SIG and makes another piston AR and calls it the "516" Big brain :)
They produce a lot of smoke
Love the videos. No training or inert units here!! Only real units and live ammo.
Unfortunately still used widely in Polish armed forces even tho we already made a new offensive hand grenade called RGZ-89 which still looks kinda soviet, we also made a Thermobaric hand grenade and the early versions literally looked like the RG 42, Hopefully when I will oficially be a polish soldier I won't be using the RG 42 but hell its still kinda could be cool to use such a old hand grenade yet I would be very anxious about its age
Much love from New England, Val. Stay strong and stay safe. 🇺🇸♥️🇺🇦
They could definitely stand to reengineer the receiver to reduce the weight by a few pounds, but even in spite of that it just shoots so good. Near zero recoil. I'd imagine a more decisive point to make in the PKM vs MAG debate is less about the weapons themselves and more how compatible the common examples are with modern optics. Even if the PKM was the better machine gun in every other way if I can't reliably mount a thermal to it I'll still choose the MAG every time.
I’ve heard stories similar yours from both WWII and Vietnam veterans with US customs and MP’s etcetera. Some things are just universal
I am not really pro Ukrainian nor pro Russian but I do appreciate your channel for rating all the gear regardless of where it originated from your reviews are very unbiased!
I love your viedos. Greatings from Poland 🇵🇱❤️🇺🇦
I love that you don’t agree with the Russians in Ukraine but you don’t shit on the rifle just because it’s Russian like a lot of people do
Made me chuckle - when you first demo it, the grenade pin wings are spread 90 degrees, just like you say not to do a moment earlier. XD
to the sides it even broke the brick wall. Ouch.
34k views in less than 24 hours? looks like you’re finally getting the subs and views that you deserve, my dude! i’m glad you’re still alive and kicking. be safe.
This is an excellent video, thank you. Gus
When are you guys going to give up? You can't win.
Any day now. The President of the World has forbidden them to win, lol.
Fg42 seems like it has a very low velocity by the poof instead of the band but still lot of harmful shrapnel
RG-42 in Polish service was used until 2019, the production in Poland stopped around end of 80's the begging of 90's. As in 88 and 89 the RGO-88 and RGZ-89 grenades were introduced to Polish Military. Those are polymer body grenades with prefabricated shrapnel in form of ball bearings balls encased in a polymer in RGO-88, and in RGZ-89 the polymer body with a shrapnel in a form of pre-cut metal wire encased in a polymer. The RGZ-89 has similar shape as RG-42 while RGO-88 has a shape similar to RGD-5. As for the RG-42 production i'm almost certain that the production was stopped just after the RGO-88 and RGZ-89 entered service, but since the production in Poland started in 1948 and continued to the end of 80's, and the volume of production per year was substantial... the stockpiles of RG-42 of Polish Army are still very high. As well as the F-1 type grenades that also were in the production in Poland since 1947 untill end of the 80's...
Great video, tkank you!
A tin can with a fuze...
You should've seen his redbull can improvised shaped charge...
I was performing a task in a joint squad with the Kraken unit, 4 hours before the operation, we met in the Cossack (Mrap) and the guys told us to show us what grenades we have, so I am the only Pole taking out the Polish RG-42 and saying that these are great grenades, the guy started laughing. and asked if we had any grenades not from WWII. from my point of view, ~uzrgm fuse grenades are much better for traps than the American ones
I doubt anyone on the receiving end would be mocking it...
be safer mate wrap 2-3 layers of tape and add birthday sparkler to burn it will give you time to walk away
10:35 seems pritty weak
Pretty.
Debunking myths about rare soviet gear 😂

No, it doesn't live, it's a thing.
